The creases and lines of a gorilla's face have always intrigued me. 'Nina', a female gorilla from the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, has a particularly interesting face. I wanted to capture this by drawing just a cross section to highlight her individuality. I have had many different reactions from people with this drawing. Everyone sees something different in Nina's eyes.
